Assalaam Alaikum Warahmatu’llah Wabarakatuh.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Uganda
Muslim Lawyers Association (UMLAS) will be held at Fairway Boutique Hotel, on
the Friday, 9th December 2022 at 3:00pm to conduct the following business.
Ordinary Business
- To receive the Association audited accounts of the year ended 31st October 2022,
together with the reports of the Directors and the external auditors thereon. - To appoint the external Auditors of the Association and to authorise the Directors
to fix their remuneration for the year ending 31st October 2023. - To receive, consider and discuss the proposed budget of the Association for FY
2022/23.
Any Other Business - To receive, consider and discuss the report on UMLAS Elite School Project
- To receive, consider and discuss the proposed UMLAS Benevolent Fund.
- Consider any other business.

NOTES:
- The secretary shall provide an updated members register at least one week
prior to the AGM. - Any member who is entitled to attend and vote at the AGM is entitled to
appoint a proxy to attend and vote. Such proxy must be a member of the
Association. - E copies of the annual reports shall be send on request by email to any member
whose email address the Association currently has. - Members wishing to raise any questions or clarifications regarding the AGM
may do so on or before 2nd December 2022 at 5:00 p.m., by sending their written
questions accompanied by a return address, via P.O. BOX 2139 Kampala or
email to [email protected] or dropping the same at the Association’s
offices Room 24 Kitala Plaza Nakulabye. - Responses to the questions will be provided at the AGM.
